First off, I really adore your style of writing! The Bionicle fandom could sure use more talented writers like you, CU!! Everyone was so in character, someone could’ve easily mistaken this as canon. (if only the kissing part didn’t give it away no romance my ass hehe) You got Gali’s personality down pat, and it was nice being able to see that insecure part of Tahu. I think it’s great exploring that part of him as we don’t see it much in canon. Also this was written out so smartly, especially the dialogue between Gali and Tahu. Goddamn, that is deep. Kudos for you for pulling that off! Most fanfics I’ve seen of them, they say something really cheesy before confessing and stuff. (not that I’m abhorrent to that) but man, this scene was so believable and I really appreciate that! I totally wasn’t expecting that kiss too, but you pulled it off perfectly. The timing couldn’t have been better.

Also, props to you managing to work with what little scraps of Onua’s personality we’re given! I can easily say that your Onua was bloody amazing. I just have so much more respect for him now; you’ve really fleshed out his character into this nice, clever, hard working guy who breaks down walls to get people’s attention. It’s fantastic. :D

On a final note, I just wanted to say that this line made me chuckle: “He paused for a moment and regarded the room with a gaze Kopaka would have been proud of.”

Thanks, I’m really glad you enjoyed it! To be honest I debated with myself for a bit over the kiss, but ultimately decided to run with it because a. I felt like Tahu and Gali weren’t the types to just go “oh I love you kiss me now”, but instead make a move after a more meaningful conversation and b. I was kind of planning for one to end the scene so I wouldn’t have known where to go after that, haha.  I guess I could have just cut out the kiss and switched scenes like that, but having it made for a better point to “cut away”, in my opinion.

I’ve always seen Onua like this really; reliable, kind, and not really averse to smashing the occasional boulder if he needs to to make his point.  I know it’s not canon anymore that he’s the oldest of the group (I mean that doesn’t even make sense really), but he’s always felt that way in my mind, so I tried to write him as particularly mature and level-headed, and figured he’d be the sort to get along with Ackar.

But I’m rambling, so, again, glad you enjoyed it and thank you! I’m already tearing it apart in my brain, but I do that with anything I write that’s more than a drabble.
